Gentle parenting Boomers is exhausting, and never ending. It’s hard to feel like they deserve it with the vitriol that gets spit back in my face for even trying. But I decide how I treat people, not them- no matter how hard they try to bait me.

I don’t have any of these cats anymore but I still pay the cat tax (the 20 year old and 17 year old tuxedos crossed the rainbow bridge and I had to give my baby away to save him and escape a toxic situation)

Sometimes it’s the tiny acts of community. My 88 year old neighbor asking about my wool dryer balls, culminating in her having me over to give me some of her essential oils. Every time I see her, she gives incredibly relevant insights. We share back and forth the little things we have.
