NOOO!!! Going nuclear is not viable. Nuclear is the most expensive way to produce electricity. It takes forever to build them, even SMRs. SMRs have bin pushed as the solution for all nuclear's problems. It has been none of them. They offer too little energy to justify the problems and costs.

It's about time. As an MBA who studied economics I wondered when people & politicians would come to the realization that nuclear was not following standard economic assumptions. Anything that goes counter to long understood economic principles can not be sustained. Econ said wasn't going to happen.

Following the Reichstag fire, Hitler's Nazis arrested thousands of communists, & implemented the Reichstag Fire Decree, which suspended civil liberties & allowed for widespread persecution of political opponents. This act further solidified Nazi Party control & paved the way for a dictatorship.

What does this means. One of the biggest advantages that electric vehicles (EVs) have over petrol vehicles in economics is their low cost to fuel. To reach drivers beyond environmentalists, this advantage must remain. In southern California this is no longer is the case. EV demand will be curtailed.
