It'd be a good taster if there's ever a "here's one free" sale of the book. Compact, has some author flourishes seen elsewhere like the historical details, gives a feel for the writing in general.

I can say this. Wanton Poets would be a great little story for people who were into Creepypasta/SCP stuff about cursed media. It's even got a little flavor of the absurd, but done intentionally and without the usual fluff.

The more I write, the more I want to mess with the "This novel is entirely a work of fiction" disclaimer to something like "This novel is more true than you would think" and invite the legal consequences because I think it'd be a funny bit.

I do like that. Manbat from Batman has a weird thing where it's sometimes similar, but sometimes the wings fold under the brachial region, which isn't very batlike. Occasionally the wings are their own limbs. It's kind of neat how birds not having hands made it easier for artists.

Recipe websites should divide their European dishes into traditional (pre-Columbian Exchange) and traditional (post-Columbian Exchange). I'm not sure that this dish with chili peppers in its spices is as old-fashioned as they sometimes present them as, know what I'm saying?
