every day it gets a little bit harder to resist the urge to write 50 pages on this, and I don't know when that day will come, but rest assured there will eventually come a day where I snap and do this
No matter how much I want to, I know that if I sit here and interrogate the ethics of historical fiction as a genre—namely, under what circumstances and to what extent does it or does it not have a duty to maintain at least a baseline level of historical accuracy (and where that baseline exists)—it would be akin to opening Pandora's Box.
