I believe that everyone is redeemable…. But MTG is going to have to do a lot more than breakup with MAGA and Trump for it. During her interview with 60 Minutes she showed little sign of regretting her past behavior. Maybe someday she will be an ally, but it’s not today.

As a 50 year old father of two young men, I agree. Women should not have to take a backseat to make men feel better.

You are correct, and it’s sad. I think most people reason that this story might shake the MAGA cult out of their coma and realize this is unacceptable. The hopeful part of me wants to believe that is true, but I’m afraid that until it happens to them personally nothing will break them.

Most have convinced themselves it would be the same if Harris was in because of Palestine, or that she didn’t make Trans people a central part of her platform. It’s a nice delusion they live in while sitting in their ivory tower.

It’s a bad habit in 2025, there is at least a 50/50 chance that a random poster on social media with this take would have been serious.

Just imagine how hard it would have been to convince Harris to shift her position on Palestine! It’s much easier to convince Trump to do the right thing. It’s also easier when the people who agree with you on 70% of the issues are out of power and the ones that actively hate you are in.<sarcasm>

Even if it’s linked to his credit card, email that he has had for 30 years, first hand witnesses, video of the hookups, and a clip of him with the grinder app open on his phone-they will still say it’s fake news with zero sense of shame.
