Knitter 🧶, baker 🍞, former soap 🧼maker, I embrace self-reliance and survival skills. I loathe fascism, far right mindset and inequality.
I’m double dipping into autumn themed #showmeyourknits, with a perfect autumn weight jumper in autumn tones. Pattern name is Ember but I knitted this during the bushfires of 2019/20, so I changed my project name to Precious Amber, after the main colour. More details in images.

I love scarves but what I love even more is a wide, shallow shawl and I’ll be knitting more of those. However, for #showmeyourknits scarf week, my skinny version of Time Trades will have to do.

Trying to make inroads on some summer knits, starting with a between seasons pullover, perfect for #showmeyourknits wip week, albeit just sneaking it in. Sleeve length is yet undecided. Yarn is merino/linen dyed by the talented @piratepurlyarns.bsky.social #knitsky 🧶

I finished it more than a year ago but I only have a photo of the yoke. So I must remedy this! But in the meantime, this is mine, I used a merino/possum blend.

My newest favourite sweater is still a secret until release date so here’s one I finished last year, for #showmeyourknits sweater week. Pattern is Sneeflocken by Sarah Solomon. Charcoal yarn is geelong lambswool by Colourmart, cream is merino/yak by Ochre.

I don’t have many baby knits for #showmeyourknits this week but I made these for a work colleague a few years ago.

I almost forgot stripes week for #showmeyourknits! My modified Jukebox Cardigan shamelessly copying the colour arrangement from the Funky Grandpa Cardigan.

Appalled at the genocide occurring in Gaza? If you live on the far south coast of NSW, here’s an opportunity to show your support in the Bega Valley, as part of a nationwide event.

My recently completed “Eat the Rich” fits the bill perfectly for #showmeyourknits leftovers week. I’ve used Rennie Supersoft lambswool, left over from a granny square jumper I made last year. 🧶

I’ve had to plumb the depths for #showmeyourknits blue week- and it’s really a mix of grey, blue and green, so it looks a little like an oil slick on water, not a clear blue.🧶 #knitsky

A newish cast on #showmeyourknits WIP week, for what I know will be a long, slow knit. It’s the start of my Jemima’s Jumper, one I’ve wanted to make for a long time. I’m taking it easy, hoping that will be enough to prevent these tiny needles causing wrist problems.

Just off the needles in time for this week’s garter stitch themed #showmeyourknits - is my Close to You shawl. Perfect tv knitting and perfect shape and size. 🧶 #blueskyknits

I almost missed this week’s yellow themed #showmeyourknits - my Calla Sweater nicely fits the bill! 🧶 I used the butter soft De Rerum Natura Ulysse in the Doré colour. #knittersofbluesky

It was a chilly start but we managed to grab a spot in the sun, in our usual place to celebrate #WWKIPday for this week’s special edition of #showmeyourknits. I’m wearing the recently finished Djö designed by Sophie Ochera.

It’s very late notice but if you’re in the Bega Valley, come and join us this morning for World Wide Knit in Public Day. 🧶

I don’t knit many cowls but I’ve made two of these and bought yarn to make a third. The pictured one has now been given to a friend. Thanks @romidesigns.bsky.social for such a great pattern ❤️#showmeyourknits #knitsky 🧶

Still plugging away on this cabled pullover for #showmeyourknits #WIP week, but edging ever closer to the finish line.

Purple themed #showmeyourknits this week was a challenge for me until I remembered the tam I made to take to Shetland in 2019. 🧶

Finding something for #showmeyourknits DK week was a difficult task, I rarely use DK. This Koivua jumper from a few years ago has been given away because the yarn made me itch so much! I was so disappointed, the recipient not so much! 😉🧶 #knitsky

For this week’s indie dyer #showmeyourknits, I’d like to highlight one of our local Australian dyers who specialises in dyeing non-superwash yarn. I’ve used Tarndie’s gorgeous polwarth/silk blend dyed by Katrina @piratepurlyarns.bsky.social for the contrast colours in my Pressed Flowers Cardigan.

I almost missed this week’s gift themed #showmeyourknits - this baby blanket has now survived the bushfires of 2019/20 and two more babies!

I have a couple of items in keeping for #showmeyourknits this week featuring grey knits.
The Whiskey Creek Pullover by Amy Christoffers and Anthe, by Natasja Hornby.

For this week’s WIP themed #showusyourknits I’ve chosen a recent cast on - Temee designed by Sarah Solomon. I’m using a merino/possum blend hand dyed in Australia by Louie and Lola. I’m now up to the cap shaping.

I had to dig deep for #showmeyourknits baby week but then I remembered some I made for a work colleague a few years back. 🧶
