I got a trombone in the mail today. It was grandpa’s. He saved up the money to buy it when he was a kid. He was especially proud of himself that he saved up the additional money for the case.

My great grandfather was a “decorative stone carver” whose work can be seen at Rockefeller Center and the Empire State Building. This ashtray is the only example of his work that my grandma had. Now it’s mine and I’m so happy to take care of it.
