In my youth I frequently mountain biked at Palos Hills and was saddened by the dense buckthorn invading the entire preserve; accelerating erosion, gobbling up rare plant communities. Warms my heart to see this project going forth. And shout-out to Troy, who was on my crew back in my Tallgrass days:
