Winter in this far northern place can be harsh. I love being surrounded by a lighter color and soft creations of wool. Keenly aware of where our country has driven itself, I am armed with bolts of wool for protection if needed. 😉😊

Rug hooking calms my soul..keeps me from falling into the depths of hopelessness. Something about wool being pulled through the linen and creating a story,no matter how simple, can hold powerful meaning.

Creative side of self wants chaotic surroundings while working designing and color planning my rugs. It fuels energy, sparks ideas. When wool is your medium though, neatly stacked rugs rolled up in a cupboard provides the focus and calm to finally sit down and hook! #woolrughooking #woolstudio

I joined the rug hooking world in 2006. It’s the medicine that has sustained me through life’s most challenging, some painful and difficult times. I’m almost 71 years on this planet. Since the election I feel like the "rug” has been pulled from beneath my feet!
