Lived 20 years in Vermont. DC city govt struggling to keep roads clear during the storm on Sunday makes sense. It stops making sense when DC is shut down for 3 days after snowstorm ended. Plowing, salting, shoveling aren’t happening enough. Inexcusable after 1 whole post-storm day, absurd after 3.

The citywide failure has been really disappointing. This was an incredibly well-forecast snowstorm—12-18 inches, all basically falling between late Saturday night and early Sunday evening, as predicted a week in advance. There has been no snow since. Yet schools couldn’t open for three days?!

Whistles are guns and the second amendment protects our right to …whistles. Prove me wrong.

Looks like a 1A violation plain as day. Can’t wait to see Bondi and Kash muster same haste to arrest the sprayer and his accomplices for this assault as when DOJ raced to arrest protestors (and journalists incl Don Lemon) for interrupting a church service in Minnesota.

Everyone should have to decontaminate their own water as they see fit. Also, why does government inspect the meat?

I’m a decade-long dc resident. One difference that stood out on a November visit to Chicago: Small biz and restaurants in Chicago have been demonstrably anti-ICE in a way I don’t see as much in DC. Signs in windows (“no ICE”; “no searches without warrants” etc). Displays. Posters. Leaflets by doors.
