It's really sad to say but I wouldn't trust any Fed only investigation. The president, vice president and DHS Sec. have each blamed the victim. Is an investigation trustworthy after that?

A moral country wouldn't have one Federal Agency investigating a crime committed by a brethren Federal Agency, cutting out state investigation in what is clearly a state crime.
