For now, we are just manually adding to a list in the hopes that feed creators will take advantage of them to reduce further spread of reposted (often stolen) content.

👀 We are intrigued. Labeler services here are still a WIP but we’ll keep our eyes on these developments. Very cool work.

The lack of location data and abundance of news bots, bots, and spam are both a major hindrance for creating quality location-based feeds.

We don’t have a labeler setup yet but if anyone drops us a note when you see a new PDS spam farm, we will get it added to our spam mod list ASAP (often faster than Bsky mod tbh). 🫡

AFK right now but these will be added later today.

It may not be as frequently requested but a suggestion: embed videos from Instagram and TikTok to reduce the re-hosting via re-posting.

The goal here is to reduce (1) resources for Bluesky, (2) video feeds with filled with redundant videos, and (3) improve discovery of original video creators.

Oh fun, another! I will take look soon and add them to our moderation list (spam) as appropriate.

*Alt text typo: there are 169 repositories (users) on dev-frosting.social

Unfair, they're not the only ones - you forgot their spamnet PDS pals.

(They should all be listed on our list bsky.app/profile/redu... now)
August 11, 2025 at 6:30 PM
We threw them, along with the offending posters, in our spam list last night 🫡
August 11, 2025 at 4:50 PM
We got you. Added these accounts and their obvious spam pals from another PDS — identified by their early and coordinated liking of these users’ posts.

*also not necessarily true for the "frequent or bulk posters" mod list. forgot about that one.
August 10, 2025 at 2:21 AM
Definitely interested - we sent you a DM to discuss!

We made these lists specifically because we didn’t like that bot & spam lists are usually automated and contained numerous false positives.

We focus primarily on labeled bot accounts (e.g. in bio or a post), & try very hard not to include real people*

*not true for our non-mod lists

We went and added some from your lists. 🤫

We also have another 3k+ likely bot accounts in a spreadsheet - but manual verification takes time.

Throwing in a vote to use @bookmark.cool, another client, or the bookmark labeler instead of leaving pins everywhere, cluttering up replies.

We have numerous lists but, as of now, are not a labeler. It is on our radar though.

However, having a lexicon specifically for different chat bot features/roles will be more useful for folks who aren’t all-or-nothing about them.
August 4, 2025 at 1:48 AM
We have other moderation lists for different bots!

Since they’re hand curated right now you may still see some, but feel free to DM or @ us and we’ll get them listed.

We are not currently a labeler you can report to (considering in the future), but we do maintain a list of content aggregators which includes thieves. If you DM us an account we will investigate adding it.

However, without labeler functions, we only list accounts regularly posting such content.

feed building and in the case of frequent ai, mass blocking.

We will comb through and report unlabeled accounts on our list, and later remove it. We suggest you checkout the labeler and its associated lists instead!
