Places in British Columbia that are awesome : Lee’s Electronics. Maybe one of two or three real electronics stores on the west coast. The place is a maker’s dream store. Very much worth a visit online or in person.

Places in British Columbia to patronize (post 1) I have to start with a wonderful brewery and restaurant Four Winds. With two locations , one in Delta and one near Point Roberts. The one in Delta has amazing tacos , the other you absolutely need reservations. Amazing beer and food. Highly recommend.

bookshop.org - Books, E-Books, all the things you might find at that other place. Designate the proceeds to go to your local bookshop. It's probably the 2nd best thing you can do to buy a book, if you can't just go into the physical store. It's been a great experience buying through bookshop!
Bookshop: Buy books online. Support local bookstores.
An online bookstore that financially supports local independent bookstores and gives back to the book community.

I guess it was only a matter of time before the US was run like a corporate entity. Things to look forward to: jobs being offshored, beatings to continue until morale improves, forced meetings, random re-orgs for no discernible reason…

Blood draw: phlebotomists are like “you need to drink water an hour before”. “Drinking water to help is a myth”. “You need to drink 10-12 glasses 24 hours before”. “You need to do pushups”. “Screw it I’m gong for your hand”. And that one star in Seattle… always hit the arm first time: “no biggie”.

These two pictures looks exactly the same to me. I understand you can be fed up with the way things are, but voting for a strong man who promises instant change always ends the same way.

Doesn't it feel that somewhere in D.C., one of the new goons in office is searching around the country for some Buddha statues to blow up, or some artwork to destroy? Maybe take down a symphony or two. Or maybe there's some public art they can bulldoze.
