Back to Aviation safety.

So what if a safety event happens when no one is around to see it happen?

Pictured is an oxygen discharge blowout disk. In the event the system over pressurizes when no ones around, this disk will rupture giving the pilot a visual indication during of a system failure.

Im really sad Harris lost but the amount of election denialism on threads is just even more sad. Really wanted to believe our side was better than that.

#1 reason you shouldn’t be afraid to fly. Redundancies. There’s redundancies for everything on the aircraft from the major components, software code, down to lock-wiring nuts and bolts.

The bolts in the picture are wired together so that neither bolt can loosen without tightening the other.

When a plane has an excessively hard landing (2G’s of force or more), a detailed hard landing inspection is required. Here we are doing a gear swing test to ensure all the components are working correctly.

This is only one aspect if the inspection. The entire airframe will also be inspected.
