Nah, I got downvoted immensely as expected because people who identify with art heavily like the fandom people that this subreddit heavily trends towards think art is incredibly important, but are mostly people who have a) never examined that the kind of art they want and enjoy is the kind of art that has pretty much always been subsidized by rich people wanting to stretch their ego and b) whenever things get tight in societies, whether it be mild like an economic depression or extremely serious like a long famine, big plague, etc, society's demand for art immediately gets jettisoned in favor of necessities. Art is a societal *want* rather than a *need*, it always has been, and considering the current state of the world more people need to realize that.
