Usually, art ignites feelings in viewers, but not always. Thus, I don't think art has to evoke emotions because everyone interprets it differently. Some people may question if it's art at all, and therefore, they don't have strong feelings for the piece.

I have felt several emotions looking at art as I believe certain artwork was meant to convey certain feelings whether positive or negative. Thus, I experienced everything from joy to sadness based on the story and colors the art exhibits.
