A screenshot of a discord post. It says the following: wound up doing an accidental relisten to Bauhaus' *In the Flat Field*. Classic goth rock/post-punk. starts off fuckin *killer*, and the reissue I'm listening to starts with a single that shoulda been the opener originally and follows with two dark, heavy tracks that perfectly nail it. ...and then it just fuckin collapses. there's like something cool on every track, and then something happens and they ruin it but they're *so* goddamn close man. this may be the most positively I've felt about a record I gotta put at 3 or lower.

So I am STILL trying to finish Dynasty Warriors Origins - not even done with one route yet. Two points.
1. Holy HELL this game is long
2. It wouldnt FEEL so long if the storytelling was better. Poor voice direction on the dub and weak character writing really sink things.

while I resist the urge to Anxietypost, I've been playing Three Hopes (again, sort of). Not the BEST Warriors game maybe but I love the whole aspect of commanding your units - would honestly love to see that in a mainline Dynasty or Samurai title.
I don't really have a relevant image for this so here's Ignatz from three hopes, a bespectacled armor clad lad with messy greenish hair. Look at him, he's adorable with his lil hair clip.

Got some great news the other day - our foster cat Musubi was finally adopted and went to her forever home! Hope they love her even more than we did. Have a great life, lil Mumu!

I have been drawn yet again into playing Three Houses to finish the last major route I haven't completed, so I've been trying to use the Golden Deer's characters mostly on this run.
...I do not like this guy. And I do not see that changing.

If i had a nickel for every game where I used the male PC then finding the story and themes better suited the female PC after finishing I'd have two nickels which isn't a lot but it's weird it's happened twice
The default female Hunter in Marvel Midnight Suns. Probably the intended player character? Much of the story revolves around the conflict with her mother, the demon Lilith. Been a while since I played the game but I do recall her seeming like a better fit. Female Byleth from FE3H. She has a literal goddess in her and another character intends to use her as a vessel for that goddess, who is her mom. Also not connected but F!Byleth is mechanically better than M!Byleth, thanks to an extra free unit recruitment and some useful skills and classes, like darting blow from one of the Pegasus classes.
