Shamefully they purposefully didn’t allow anyone to delete their data either. Once the news came out they moved to show a “under maintenance” notice on their website thereby blocking anyone from deleting their data.
23andMe…and everybody on the internet. When genetic data is for sale.
23andMe’s debacle should be a major wake-up call, reminding policymakers and all of us of the risks of giving access to our genetic and other health data.
