Today is #DemocracyDay.

Democracy thrives on people’s voices, choices & participation — but faces disinformation, shrinking civic space & inequalities.

“From Voice to Action” is a call to protect rights, build trust & reimagine democracy that works for all.

Yesterday, the world marked the International Day for People of #AfricanDescent.

This is more than a day; it’s a continuation of the struggle for truth, justice & reparations. At RI, we are anchored on the 5Rs: Reconnection, Re-education, Repair, Resistance & Rebuilding.

#EnforcedDisappearance silences dissent, scars families, and erodes trust in society.

On this international day, we honour victims by demanding truth, reparations, justice, & reforms for lasting cohesion

Silence is the weapon. Disappearance the crime. Remembrance our resistance.

On this #WorldHumanitarianDay, we celebrate communities whose leadership makes humanitarian action sustainable & transformative.

This year’s theme, “Strengthening Global Solidarity and Empowering Local Communities,” reminds us that those most impacted by crises are also key agents of change.

Reform Initiatives applaud the African Union’s decision to extend the reparations theme from 2025 to a full Decade of Reparations (2026–2036). This shows a strong commitment to justice and repair for Africans and the diaspora. Congrats to H.E. John Mahama for leading this vital cause.

“Black Justice, White Fear” by Jasmine Mickens

It debunks the “white genocide” myth in South Africa and reframes the issue around land justice and reparations.
Justice, not victimhood.
