I still wanna keep Trae. Theres still plenty of time left for this season to turn around. Hell, they're only 3 games out of 4th in the East.

I don’t think Trae is the *problem* but it’s like a puzzle & with Trae if one part of the puzzle isn’t right it all just collapses around him & he’s not good enough to fill in the gaps

On the other hand: So much has to go right just to field a winning team with Trae, to the point Im starting to question whether it’s worth it anymore & the answer just *might* be no.

On one hand: I still think this season can turn around if ATL can turn Porzingis/Kennard + a small asset or 2 into a competent Center/Wing upgrade at the deadline.

I'm not interested in trading Jalen or the Pels pick for a 2-3 year run. Only to have limited assets later on.
I want a have a 7-10 year run. I want to be where OKC & Boston have been & the Hawks are perfectly set up to become the next version of that.

Hes already dealt with 2 different lower body injuries in 3 weeks. He has to tendency to get nicked up. Only played 70 or more games once in 6 seasons.

Im concerned about Dyson's offense. Hes passing up 3s and the few times he takes 3s, hes missing them badly. Hes getting stripped on his drives too & earlier in the year he couldnt make a layup. He's become an offensive liability

Onyeka is the best Center on the team. Him all of a sudden becoming an elite stretch big has been an awesome development. Hes still a really good finisher & passer. Liked hat ive seen from defnsively for the most part despite being a tad undersized. He still has awesome chemistry with Jalen.

I did not see this offensive jump from NAW coming at all. Dude is avg 19/3/3 on 47/35/85 with a 60%TS. Add that along with what hes done defensively. He's been incredible. Best Free Agent signing since Paul Millsap

Jalen's offensive growth has been awesome. He's getting to the paint at will, He's al ot more comfortable shooting the ball & even off the dribble at times. He's moving different. His defensive inconsistency is frustrating at times but he absolutely should be an All Star.

i've been a Quin defender & I still am but the Vit/Kennard/Keaton lineups he throws out every game are driving me insane. Get rid of them please.

Some Hawks Thoughts:
No, the Hawks aren't better w/out Trae. Better defensively? sure but offensively they still have stretches where they struggle scoring in the halfcourt & they cough up the ball because nobody else can dribble under pressure and most of those issues have shown up late in games.

How Terry Fontenot has fans is beyond me.
5 seasons. In that span, we've cycled through 2 HCs, 6 coordinators, 6 QBs, and the team is stagnent winning 7 games every year
He's built a mid roster that good coaching would see win 9 games and convinced people good coaching would see it win 12 instead
