Oh that's great! Glad it was resolved (even if there's no indication of what could have caused it to begin with.) I've noticed that discord updates maybe once a week, but if you don't often shutdown your system you can just leave it open for a while and update less frequently.

Welp that rules out what my assumption was going to be! I was thinking it was going to wind up being a deb12 specific issue, but since cachy is based on arch that's not the case. Since moving up to a debian 13 based distro the issue has resolved for me. idk what could be causing it for you. :(

Discord never auto updates on linux, it's annoying. I used to have that exact issue of needing to reinstall it completely when I was using q4os. I'm not sure what the exact issue is. What distro are you using?

Looks like it could be a couple things in there working together. I actually didn't know about jgrpp. Guess now I gotta give that a shot too lol.

Which graphics pack is that? I tend to stick to vanilla and that one looks quite nice. Might be nice using a new one in my next game.

For me it was corn. I didn't eat corn until I was like 13 because of that. I can still remember pretty much everything about it, and how I gagged multiple times because the taste just repulsed me as a small child. When you're a kid almost anything can become a permanent memory.
