I should have known you were behind the GDquest characters! So good

Direction and focus are more important than goals.

Where are you going? Orient yourself and re-evaluate your center of gravity regularly. Then take one step at a time and move forward – whatever direction forward might be for you.

So sick. Gives me Annihilation vibes.

My girlfriend affectionately calls PaperKlay “the chicken game” and is excitedly awaiting release! (I’m excited too)

Just picked up the game! Massive congrats on launch ⚡️

Been experimenting with it – yeah it's pretty great. The best scattering tool I've used for Godot for sure.

Your work is stunning! I love the brush strokes. I’ve recently been experimenting with the Ucupaint addon to texture paint in blender and loving it.

Ooh I haven’t used spacial gardener! But I have been looking for a scattering tool for the engine since Proton Scatter doesn’t work with 4.4 and is largely unstable. How has your experience with it been?

Vibes on point ⚡️

Gorgeous aesthetic. I love the watercolor texture
reid.work
How did you get this working? Is it a built in feature?

If you search google for “Blender texture painting brushes” you’ll find a ton of stuff. I bought a pack someone made, but there is lots of free stuff out there and also tutorials for how to make your own!

Finally happy (for now) with the visual direction of the first “biome” in my knight game!

Been working on art aesthetic for a while — time to get back to mechanics and implement some enemies to fight ⚔️

Sweet! Thanks for sending :)

Oh no no, I dabble with music but I’m certainly no composer haha! I’m def too early in the project to look for one but will take a look at your portfolio when the time comes :)

Definitely not standard! Currently thinking a mix of Martin Stig Andersen's work on Limbo/Inside with Joe Hisaishi's work on Nausicaa. Maybe add some Ryuichi Sakamoto, Johann Johannsson, Ben Frost, Oneohtrix Point Never.

My BG is in film prod. so music ends up being a really big part of my process!

We’ve got locomotion and combat in, as well as the first boss fight. Now we’re currently exploring the art style and overall aesthetic.

Hopefully the visuals, storytelling, and combat will be what draws players in—but it’s still early, so we’re feeling things out.

Thanks! It's currently more of a metroidvania than an RPG but I'm still pretty early in development so we'll see!

Interesting perspective! I find positive feedback can be just as useful as negative/constructive criticism, but it depends of course on why you’re seeking feedback. When evaluating market viability, for example, a positive reaction can be a useful measurement!

I can see how it could be risky though

Adding moss is next! And other plants 🌿

Love the Hornet!

Oof yeah. I really hope they improve the video quality on the platform!

Woah! This is super trippy and I love it

Been hard at work creating grass and designing the environmental aesthetic for my game! I'm really digging how lush it looks.
