I'm very involved with the purple place and have been following this journey for awhile - I am eager to talk about it more but also never want these uh... streams to cross. Both are too precious for different reasons.

I'd still call myself a writer and essayist as I always have, but the unmasking bit (refer to ADHD post!) had the unfortunate consequence of throwing a wrench in my creative process. It's growing, and I'm learning to observe it for now. I'll talk more about this soon-ish.

I love living here, but it's not for everyone. It often pisses me off. There are many "FUCK LA!!" days, but I'm forever grateful I took a chance on myself to be here.
And I do it all without a car. I do drive, just don't own a car. It has pros & cons, but more pros right now.

I'm still learning to unmask. It's not going well. If you're an "ADHD is a superpower! NTs are the weird ones!" kind of person, that's great for you but not my experience. Diagnosis literally saved my life, but irreversibly changed it. I'm still grieving, confused, and in denial.
