I learned a lot during my postdoc too, but it was kind of overshadowed by the stress introduced by the temporary nature of the position. Here it really feels like you're a part of building something meant to last.

Being a PI is definitely a step up in responsibility and workload but so far I am really enjoying it. I'm being challenged in an incredibly fulfilling way that I haven't felt probably since I was a first year grad student.
