Might also happen if you talk to the AI.

In Roman elections how many candidates per office could an individual voter choose. For example, could a voter pick two candidates for consul or just one?

That's the fundamental disagreement. They see what they learned in grade school is the eternal unchanged truth. So historians updating the account as they learn is seen as attacking the Truth rather than trying to give the full picture. They're Tony Soprano yelling about Columbus being a hero.

We're in agreement there. Punish the bosses, and we'll get a lot more careful about careful about this. Could also get there by making the firm donate say 3x its fees collected on the matter to public defenders or pro bono legal orgs.

I am skeptical of the use of AI and don't use it. But my firm encourages it and clients want it for lower fees. If you want penalties against the partners or firms, I get it. I just don't think a junior's life should ruined because they did their job the way their boss told them to.

I hear you, and I hate that AI is being pushed on the profession, but I think being disbarred could be too harsh. An associate told by the client or partner to have AI write the brief and not to spend more than x hours reviewing is in a no-win situation.
