On the 80th commemoration of the liberation of Bergen Belsen concentration camp, it's little known that one of the first reporters to enter the camp was D. F. Karaka, but his editor at the Bombay Chronicle rejected his report.... 1/3

RIP to Dr. Marika Sherwood: a huge inspiration among historians and activists, and a founder of the Black and Asian Studies Association. Without her tireless contributions over the past few decades, the field of Black British History would look very different today. We owe her so much 🖤✊🏽
