#birdoftheday New Zealand's Endangered Blue Duck (Whio)in its natural #habitat, a rushing stream. Whio is the Maori name and is pronounced with an initial "f" sound. I looked for this bird all over NZ, before coming upon this family (2 adults and two ducklings)

It doesn't have #sparrow in its name but it is one! Dark-eyed Junco is #birdoftheday for me
