Also my personal literary obsession is stream-of-consciousness modernism so I'd put Faulkner (Light In August, The Sound and The Fury) and Joyce (Ulysses, Finnegans Wake which I don't know if I'll ever read before I die) in there

I think I would say the Onimai anime and also like, almost every Shuzo Oshimi work, esp. Inside Mari and Welcome Back, Alice. I think without the lens of genderfuckery I wouldn't know what to make of any of those
