I'm pretty sure from reading comments that the issue was not the word "commission". I think it was one, or a combination of, the following: not having a business account, not using invoices, client sending payment outside of an invoice that flagged it as a business transaction for a non-business acc

Don't let clients send you payments outside of invoices, because they will fuck it up, and YOU will have no ToS to protect you if they dispute the payment later after the work is done. DO NOT use "friends and family" to receive money, because that is fraud, and you WILL get in trouble.

There's rare instances I've seen of Paypal flagging large transactions as suspicious and holding funds for months, but most of the time these posts are from people who did not follow the terms and conditions laid out by the payment processor. Don't let it happen to you. Follow the rules.

0 issues in 12 years:

- Make sure your Paypal is a business account
- USE INVOICES
- call it "digital commission"
- include product use, turnaround time, and refund policies in ToS field
- uncheck "ship items to address"
- DON'T write NSFW/adult

I'm pretty sure it's always been that way. I set my Paypal up as a business acct when I got serious about regularly taking comms, and have had no problems in 12 years. The only changes I made were freeballing payment to using invoices, and no longer including "nsfw" or "adult" on any invoices.

I keep going back to this, but one of the reasons South Korea has an incredibly effective protest culture is because they have *decades* of organizational experience through daily/weekly protesting. it helps a lot to do the routine stuff to be able to pull off the big stuff.

Why doesn't the US have a general strike? Well you can point to culture or whatever but I think structure is of not immediate use here: does the US have organizations and institutions it can use to network, organize and mobilize a general strike? No.

YEAH LOL I only have 50 hours in the game because I sincerely spent hours ignoring the actual gameplay to try to clip out of bounds by stacking chairs and random objects, or trying to die while controlling a disembodied camera, or trying to fall to my death in the mental ward chapter.

To expound, this game has NO character writing. Here's what we know:

Alan: author, married, has a father
Barry: best friend of Alan, has a wife, likes to drink
Alice: is Alan's wife, afraid of the dark

All the background NPCs, even when insulting him, constantly fellate Alan's ego.

My review of Alan Wake on Steam: Boring mechanics that involve a flashlight and some kind of gun for the duration, though at many points you can just drop a flare and sprint to the next checkpoint. Vaguely interesting story premise is spoiled by 2D characters including Alan himself. Most of the dialogue involves everyone jacking Alan off because he's such a colossal genius. Waste of time.
