she legitimately just did not want that guy to overshadow the whole reason she was there in the first place. that's not really a character trait common today. if this happened to Vance he'd be talking about his brush with death for as long as he could milk it and we'd be seeing black helicopters

Auschwitz was at the end of a process. We must remember that it did not start from gas chambers.

This hatred gradually developed: from ideas, words, stereotypes & prejudice through legal exclusion, dehumanization & escalating violence... to systematic and industrial murder.

Auschwitz took time.

Just a reminder that it was only 4 days ago that Trump caused an international furor by denigrating the service of allied combat veterans. Think of all the chaos and mayhem since then in just 4 days. The sheer volume of it is meant to exhaust us and numb us. We mustn’t let it.

It is inconceivable to me that any Democrat would vote for a DHS funding bill that fails to include a mandate that requires these federal goons to take their masks off.

Federal agents hiding behind masks contributes to abuses. It signals no accountability. It lets agents know they can act as a nameless, faceless, camouflaged, armed abuser and nobody will know who did it. It is antithetical to everything this liberty loving country stands for.

It’s -2000 degrees below zero. You just flashbanged yourself twenty feet from the front desk. Three hours sleep cause locals who hate you bang garbage cans outside your room all night. The Home2Suits has fallen and you’re not getting that signing bonus for another 4.5 years. Ass. It’s all ass, dude.
Minneapolis, MN -

Very developing situation here. FPS agents ran into the hotel. Tear gas deployed. Hotel patrons forced to put their hands up. One agent’s nose bloodied.

When grand juries have been impaneled to hear testimony and evidence on the killings of Renee Good & Alex Pretti, then we can begin to talk about the Trump admin doing something tangible. Until that, all this is just PR damage control that only the extremely naive will fall for.

When I teach Vietnam, I explain that opposition to the war really grew in fits and starts. Some big rallies and visible protests, but also a steady stream of celebrities and ordinary folks breaking with their priors and taking a new stand.

This last month, this last week, feels like a real shift.

Today it was granted ex parte
