I know that we might fundamentally agree on a lot of different things. I just want you to know that's why I put so much effort into getting my point across. I understand the burn of disappointment, but we'll have a better future with way less compromise. I truly believe that.

This isnt supposed to be a 'debate'. Because I'm not going to accept that someone killing civilians is acceptable in any way. Cause it's the same argument Israel uses. We need to have better standards. You need to have better standards.

No, I don't like that he killed nearly 1,000 innocent people despite 'good intention'. I really dont understand how that can be said in good faith, turning this conversation into whether or not I like him. This isn't a fandom argument, this is about crimes, it's about the complacency you're showing.

I would also like someone competent and good at the helm who makes real progress, but I think the culture among people who can even try make that notion a far cry. But nor do I think we should settle for someone who at the end of the day is just a blue republican, you know? We deserve better as ppl.

I can also understand wanting the notion of someone that seemed like a good president. But I genuinely need you to understand that a staggering number of civilians being killed either through intention, ineptitude, or apathy should be a concrete standard bad no matter who presses the button.

I think when it comes to affection for politicians, that's one of the root causes for complacency, because now we don't factor in the things they do wrong, just that they're 'good people'. So i think shitting on it is fine, actually. Also, a refresher..

This is wild to say given that all he did was bomb innocents almost indiscriminately. All of them after him have been doing the same thing so..... what are you wanting? Polite bombing? A 'funny quip' while placating billionaires? It'd be refreshing for dems to stand for progress and not complacency.
