中国人权捍卫者（CHRD）向 #联合国任意拘留问题工作组及多个人权特别程序提交个案申诉，指出中国政府对 #牛腾宇存在多项人权侵犯行为，包括 #酷刑。

对牛腾宇的羁押意在打压其行使言论自由和开展人权倡导，这不仅违反了国际人权标准，也违反了中国法律所保障的公正审判权。根据联合国相关标准，该案件已构成“ #任意羁押”。

“李国蓓律师到长沙市第一看守所，要求会见谢阳。但遭到前台工作人员、胡迪军所长、梁杰副所长的拒绝。法院并没有出具书面决议禁止李国蓓律师会见谢阳。”

2022年1月11日，谢阳被捕，2月17日被以涉嫌 #煽颠罪批捕；
2025年7月30日，不公开开庭，未宣判。

五个 #联合国特别程序曾致函中国政府，对 #谢阳的羁押条件、长期被 #任意羁押、诉讼相关权利被剥夺表示关切，指出这些行为 #违反国际人权法，要求中国政府作出回应，并采取措施停止侵权行为！

At her trial, human rights defender #ZhangZhan appeared very frail, was held by the arms into the court in Shanghai. She remained silent through the 4h trial. Her lawyer argued that she was not guilty as charged. The Chinese court sentenced her to 4yrs in jail despite abuse of due process rights.

11 years ago, #China govt sentenced #IlhamTohti, Uyghur scholar and Sakharov Prize winner, to life in prison for "separatism," while all he did was enhance exchanges and communication among ethnic groups via peaceful means.
