After an incredible chapter at the Erb lab in Marburg, I'm deeply grateful for all I’ve learned over the years. Excited to announce my new journey as a postdoc in the Brophy Lab @Stanford! My first weeks have been amazing with a warm welcome. Thrilled to dive into #plantsynbio in the coming years! 🌱

Now is the time for me to focus on finishing the PhD. To do the last missing experiments/revisions and to finish writing the manuscripts, which I am really excited to share with everyone soon.

Last but not least I was also involved in the #plantsynbio efforts of the #iGEM engineering committee, where we try to make engineering plants accessible to more iGEM teams. For that we for example created new open source plant vectors which we will distribute hopefully soon

Additionally it was also a pleasure to be the supervisor of the @igemmarburg team once again and I am super proud that we won the #plantsynbio award.

In 2023 I was also the head of steering of @gasb_synbio. I got to know so many people and learned so much. Again thank you to the great GASB team. Without them our achievements would not have been possible and good luck to Jan Kalkowski who will take over as the new head of steering.

I am a bit late for recap of 2023, but still here it is:
I had the chance to give talks and present posters about my different PhD projects at 2 conferences last year. I am so thankful for all the feedback and good suggestions from the community which I got there. Thank you all!

It has been four very exciting days at the #iGEM2023 Grand Jamboree in Paris. I am extremly proud of my iGEM Marburg team, which won the #plantsynbio special prize 🌱, were nominated for the Best composite part and won the gold medal.
Very much deserved for their hard work 🙌
