... she says, on the second day of seek & destory the json-isms that crept in via MCP

lesson of the day kids: do MCP at the edge, resist the temptation to use it for more than the last mile to the agent session. use a strongly typed serde as early as possible

one downside to claude being so good at migration-safe coding is that it does it too early in the coding process so you get buildup of migratory & adapter code you have to push it to delete

amplifiers amplify. if the player sucks, well, guess what comes out even louder?

seems like we have a lot of overlap :) though I am through the yak shave part of my learning cycle and getting more focused on the music models and designing the agent experience, maybe oss it soon, when I feel like it's more coherent 😅

btw hyprstream looks rad! can probably replace my clunky setup with it? I have a new YuE inference loader working (will oss soon) so they can actually all share a venv now so I was considering a pyo3 runner with zmq control plane for giggles. (github.com/tobert/halfr...)

I think it's the opinionated frameworks that will go, while frameworks as collections of undifferentiated lifting get easier to maintain and expand. software frameworks will get more transparent and stop trying to hide the leaks in abstractions, and just provide the hooks to deal with it

to be fair to lua, the pyo3 thing is more like a specialized jupyter kernel than the original lua thingie that loaded scripts. this is more like some canned state and tools plugged into python for tool orchestration

bloody hell, it ripped the whole daemon out with pyo3 + sqlite + zmq in like 20 minutes. helps that I already had lua examples but still, wow

it's being philosophical this morning, at the end of this 198k token chat, claude said: "We're all just projections between spaces." and yeah dude, mood
