Once again, I’ll repeat: abusing quo warranto to fashion a compliant legislative body subservient to the executive branch’s ambitions is fundamentally anti-democratic and anathema to the Anglo-American constitutional tradition. What Texas officials are trying to do would’ve made the Founders recoil.
