I had the pleasure of joining Councilman Anthony Phillips for our annual Miracle on 5th Street Holiday Celebration. We had a great turnout of neighbors coming together to spread holiday cheer and celebrate the season. Thank you to everyone who helped make this year’s event such a success!

I'm always proud to support working Pennsylvanians! The state budget that I voted for includes the creation of the Working Pennsylvanians Tax Credit, which will put money back in the pockets of many neighbors and families in our community.

After many months of negotiating, we finally have a state budget. I voted in favor of this budget that provides some important wins for our community, including investments in our kids, working families, seniors, community safety, and more.

Between advocating for my juvenile justice bill in a committee hearing, standing with Pennsylvania immigrants, speaking with children, supporting Black maternal health, and working to end the state budget impasse, it was a very productive week in Harrisburg.

This morning, I had the awesome opportunity to visit the OCCCDA food bank. During this time where many neighbors are losing SNAP benefits, OCCCDA is doing crucial work to connect families in need with nutritious food and critical resources.
