In an effort to identify and prevent human trafficking, the MA House passed legislation (158-0) that requires lodging facilities, such as hotels, motels, lodging houses, and bed-and-breakfasts, to require their employees to participate in a human trafficking recognition training program.

An act to provide a sustainable future for rural schools is being heard by the Joint Committee on Education TOMORROW Tuesday, June 3rd at 1pm in State House room B-2, and virtually.

After meeting with the Conway Select Board last night, I attendee pre-town meeting (w dessert!). This annual tradition is a wonderful exercise in democracy.

Community members come together in advance of town mtg to have a conversation and ask any questions that they have on the warrant articles.

Today, I attended the Franklin County Tech School Leg Bkfst/ribbon cutting for its new Animal Vet Science Building.

Many students recently visited the State House & I was happy to be in THEIR house today!

I was honored to be recognized by the Massachusetts League of Community Health Centers as a Community Health Center Champion along with my friend Senator Paul Feeney.

Every year, I attend as many of the 17 town meetings in the 1st Franklin District as I can.

Last night, we kicked off town meeting season in Sunderland!

I am deeply grateful for the Select Boards, Town Administrators, Town Clerks, Finance Committees and Moderators for their public service.

I am humbled to have received the award for Legislator of the Decade and am thankful for your partnership in protecting our environment.

On Friday, I joined the Children’s Advocacy Center of Franklin County and the North Quabbin, the Northwestern District Attorney’s Office and the city of Greenfield for a flag-raising ceremony to recognize April as National Child Abuse Prevention Month.
