October is Substance Use Prevention Month.

This week, I joined students tackling youth mental health and substance use disorders.

As federal cuts to agencies tackling these same issues threatens millions, I'm hopeful to see so many young people fight for mental health care.

Yet this week, there are peace talks.

I pray for a ceasefire, the return of all hostages, and critical humanitarian aid for Gaza.

Today, I visited Valley Forge National Park, a beautiful landmark honoring our nation's founding.

It's also the workplace of many National Park Service employees hurt by Trump's shutdown.

Federal workers should be doing the jobs they love — not threatened with cruel layoffs.
