As these ICE raids continue to infiltrate and scare our communities, it’s important that everyone is prepared and knows their rights.

Democrats are holding the line.

We remain willing to meet anywhere and anytime to negotiate a bipartisan government funding agreement that meets the needs of the American people and addresses the health care crisis. Until then, Republicans own every day of this shutdown.
repespaillat.bsky.social
This is the GOP plan: kick Americans off of their healthcare plans, raise premiums, and threaten public servants for being public servants.

Healthcare and mortgages don’t care about government shutdowns, and apparently neither do House Republicans (otherwise they’d be in DC).

Two weeks too long. Chair @repespaillat.bsky.social has called on Speaker Johnson to do his job — seat Rep.-elect Grijalva. Act now.
repespaillat.bsky.social
How much do you want to bet they’re pushing it off because she’ll be the 218th signature on the Epstein files discharge petition?
hispaniccaucus.bsky.social
Rep.-elect Adelita Grijalva was duly elected by the people of Arizona's 7th district 9 days ago. She still hasn't been sworn in. What's the holdup, Mike?

Despite the shutdown, my staff and I will continue working on your behalf and will remain available to assist you as usual–although we may not be able to get answers from federal agencies that are experiencing closures or staff furloughs.

Families across my district will be adversely affected by the existing Republican plan for funding the government.

I have and am prepared to continue to vote “no” on any legislation that fails to restore the funding for healthcare coverage in my district.
repespaillat.bsky.social
With just a day left before the government funding deadline, Democrats are ready, willing, and able to reach a bipartisan agreement to keep the government open while lowering health care costs for everyday Americans, including the nearly 12,000 constituents in my district.

No matter what wool they try to pull over your eyes, Republicans own any government shutdown.

(2/2)That's why I'm joining my colleagues, Rep. Chuy Garcia and Frederica Wilson, to demand the Dept. of Education & DOJ restore safeguards so every child has equal access to education.
A formal letter dated September 11, 2025, addressed to Education Secretary Linda McMahon and Attorney General Pamela Bondi. The letter expresses outrage at the rescission of 2015 guidance protecting English Learner (EL) students, the dismantling of the Office of English Language Acquisition, elimination of Title III funding, and reduced DOJ oversight. It cites legal precedents like Lau v. Nichols and Castañeda v. Pickard, warning that these actions undermine the rights of nearly five million EL students. Continuation of the letter, emphasizing that rescinding the guidance weakens transparency, harms parents with limited English proficiency, and deprioritizes EL students at the federal level. The page highlights the importance of OELA and OCR staffing, calls the administration’s actions negligent, and issues specific demands: reinstate the 2015 guidance, restore OELA capacity, protect federal funding for EL teachers, reinstate monitoring and enforcement, and provide Congress with the legal rationale for rescission. Further continuation of the letter with a list of detailed questions for the Department of Education and DOJ about ensuring EL student protections without the 2015 guidance. Questions cover compliance enforcement, staffing changes at OELA, access for parents with limited English proficiency, and stakeholder consultation. The page closes with a warning that Congress will pursue legislative and oversight action if protections are not restored, followed by the first set of congressional signatories, including Jesús “Chuy” García, Adriano Espaillat, Frederica Wilson, Nydia Velázquez, Judy Chu, and Grace Meng.

(1/2)🚨 Nearly 5 million English Learners across the U.S. are at risk. The Administration’s decision to roll back protections and dismantle support programs undermines decades of civil rights law.

This is what a rigged system really looks like. Trump’s lawyer gets promoted to Deputy AG, oversees closed-door talks with Ghislaine Maxwell, and Trump hints at a pardon while the public is told not to worry. Every move signals conflict, cover-up, and corruption.
A graphic titled “Trump, Blanche, and Maxwell” shows connections between Donald Trump, Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche, and Ghislaine Maxwell.

Todd Blanche is in the center, labeled “Deputy AG,” with arrows noting he was Trump’s former personal attorney and was appointed Deputy Attorney General. Red handwritten text says “Conflict of Interest.”

Ghislaine Maxwell is on the left, with labels: “Gave Maxwell limited immunity in closed-door meeting,” “Charged with perjury,” and “Unreliable and untrustworthy.”

Donald Trump is on the right, with arrows pointing to text: “Wished her well after being indicted for child sex trafficking” and “And also floating a pardon,” marked as a “Red flag.”

Between Maxwell and Trump is the phrase “Mutual relationship through Jeffrey Epstein.”

At the bottom, a photo shows Trump, Epstein, Maxwell, and a woman standing together at an event.

This is distraction happening right before our eyes.

The moment the Epstein files got too close, the GOP started dodging questions, targeting their own base, and filling the news with noise and chaos. It’s all meant to make you forget what’s really at stake.
A graphic titled “GOP Distraction Playbook” outlines tactics around Jeffrey Epstein files.

At the top left is a circular loop labeled “The Epstein Files Loop” with arrows between phrases: “We will release the files,” “There is no client list,” and “The client list was made by the Democrats.” A red note says “meant to keep MAGA base quiet.” A photo of Donald Trump and Jeffrey Epstein is inside the loop.

Step 1: Downplay is shown with a July 8, 2025 image of Trump at a meeting table, captioned: “Trump: Are you guys still talking about Jeffrey Epstein? This guy’s been talked about for years.”

Step 2: Call Supporters Weaklings is shown with screenshots of two Trump social media posts. One accuses “selfish people” of targeting Attorney General Pam Bondi and defends MAGA supporters. The other post claims Democrats push “fake scams” and calls his critics “weaklings.” Both posts are heavily worded rants, highlighted with red underlines and notes such as “Insane behavior btw.”

The background is blue with red and white text boxes for emphasis. A graphic titled “GOP Distraction Playbook” highlights Steps 3 and 4.

Step 3: Throw Everything at the Wall lists multiple events in July 2025, each in black boxes with white text and arrows connecting them:

July 12: Trump threatens to revoke Rosie O’Donnell’s citizenship.

July 16: Trump announces sugar cane in Coca-Cola.

July 17: Trump claims victory for getting Stephen Colbert fired.

July 18: Tulsi Gabbard accuses Obama of treason; Trump toys with charging him.

July 21: Trump releases MLK files against the family’s wishes.

July 24: Trump’s former personal lawyer meets with Ghislaine Maxwell.

July 25: Trump considers giving Americans rebate checks.

July 26: Trump wants to prosecute Kamala Harris, Oprah, and Beyoncé.
Red handwritten notes around the chart say things like “This is super suspicious FYI” and “Hush money isn’t his strong suit.”

Step 4: It’s a Hoax shows Trump calling Epstein allegations “The Epstein Hoax.” One image shows Trump at the White House on July 16, 2025, captioned: “TRUMP: I call it the Epstein Hoax.” Two screenshots of his Truth Social posts repeat this framing, dismissing it as a “scam” and praising his presidency. A red note points at him saying: “Imagine if Biden said anything like this.”

Trump built his campaign around promises to release the Epstein files. He talked about transparency, handed out binders, and made it a central issue. His name started appearing in the documents, then the files disappeared, the footage was edited, and suddenly everyone was told to move on.
A graphic titled “The Epstein Files Timeline: Before the Distraction” presents a chronological sequence of events related to Donald Trump and the Jeffrey Epstein files.

June 9, 2024: On Fox & Friends, Trump says he would declassify the Epstein files, later using it as a campaign promise.

Feb. 21, 2025: Attorney General Pam Bondi states, “The files are on my desk.”

Feb. 27, 2025: Right-wing influencers receive a binder labeled “Epstein Files: Phase 1.”

May 2025: The DOJ informs Trump his name appears “multiple times” in the Epstein files (Wall Street Journal excerpt shown).

July 7, 2025: BBC headline reads “US justice department finds no Epstein ‘client list.’”

July 15, 2025: Wired reports FBI Epstein prison video had nearly 3 minutes cut out.

The timeline is arranged with arrows connecting events, accompanied by images: Trump in a TV interview chair, Fox News alert with a blonde anchor, influencers holding binders, and screenshots of news headlines. The background is dark blue with white text.

For anyone who thinks it was just parties and old photos, remember 2016. Both Trump and Epstein were accused in a lawsuit of sexually assaulting a minor. The case was later dropped after the accuser said she was threatened.

This is why the truth rarely makes it to the surface.
Infographic with dark blue textured background and bold white text.

Headline: “2016: Donald Trump and Jeffrey Epstein sued for sexual assault.”

Center-left: Image of a legal complaint filed in the U.S. District Court, Southern District of New York. The case lists “Jane Doe” versus Donald J. Trump and Jeffrey E. Epstein, alleging rape, sexual misconduct, assault, and related charges.

Center-right: Highlighted excerpts from the complaint. One states that Trump threatened the plaintiff and her family with physical harm if she revealed details. Another excerpt says Epstein forced sexual contact with the plaintiff at a party.

Middle text: “The accuser then dropped the suit.”

Bottom section: Screenshot from The Guardian article headlined: “Woman who accused Donald Trump of raping her at 13 drops lawsuit.”

Subheading: “A woman who had accused Donald Trump of raping her when she was a 13-year-old dropped her lawsuit against the Republican nominee on Friday.”

Highlighted text: “This week she abruptly canceled a plan to speak publicly about the allegations, and another attorney, Lisa Bloom, cited ‘numerous threats’ against her client.”
repespaillat.bsky.social
Don’t believe the spin. The idea that Trump barely knew Epstein is laughable. They were at the same events, parties, and the same social circles. Trump supposedly wrote Epstein a poem for his 50th birthday.

Trump says, “I had nothing to do with the guy,” but the pictures and the timeline disagree.
Infographic titled “Trump and Epstein” with a Donald Trump quote: “I had nothing to do with the guy.”

The layout uses arrows connecting events chronologically, with a dark blue background and splattered texture for emphasis.

The Epstein coverup is real, and the White House is pulling all stops to distract Americans from seeking the truth. This is how accountability dies, and how Trump seems to get away with everything.

Not this time 🧵
An infographic titled “Creation of a Distraction” presents a timeline connecting Jeffrey Epstein, Donald Trump, and political distractions.

Top section:

July 9, 2019: Jeffrey Epstein arrested and charged with trafficking minors.

Aug 10, 2019: Epstein dies in custody during Trump’s first term.

Left side: A photo of Donald Trump with Epstein, labeled: “1990–2004 Donald Trump and Jeffrey Epstein were notoriously good friends.”

Center: Black-and-white image of Donald Trump with Ivanka Trump and Ivanka Trump’s children. Over Trump’s face is a red oval stating:

July 7, 2025: DOJ: No Epstein 'Client List.'

Right side timeline:

2019–2025: GOP: “Release the Epstein files.”

Feb 27, 2025: Donald Trump named in Jeffrey Epstein flight logs released by DOJ.

June 5, 2025: Elon Musk: Trump is in the Epstein files.

Middle section: “Republicans suddenly quiet as they run away from Epstein files.”

Bottom section: A large red oval with “The Distraction,” pointing to a red box with smaller distraction topics:

Rosie O’Donnell citizenship

Cane sugar Cokes

Obama conspiracy

$200 million ballroom

Cancel late night talk shows

Prosecute Oprah

Mid-decade redistricting

Change football team names

Rebate checks (aka hush money)

Taking over DC

Background is dark blue with light speckling, giving it a dramatic tone.
