And E33 was thoroughly whelming after all the hype for it I saw, and interacting with people online afterwards made me feel even more confused

First couple times 100%, but if you plan on showing more in future it might be worth creating a submissions box for people to send fanart to if they're OK with it being shown on stream. A 1K ish viewer streamer I watch has done this every week for a while and it generally works well.

Even if you really like AI and think it's ethically fine, it still baffles me why ANYONE would do this just to make a worse version of an artwork that already exists. It's not even like they tried to edit or change it, it's just worse.

Tho from a meta perspective I don't think she was or will ever ever written with that in mind, I think if you ask the author, they'll 100% say that she's romantically interested, even if just cause they wouldn't want to ruin the "best girl" obsession a lot of players have with her

It's unlikely though as the tariffs on them prevent the US's competitive need to make anything as good & affordable as Chinese EV's.

It feels like trying to re-invent the wheel with a more ethically questionable wheel that isn't even making the cart better. I take it seriously not cause I think it's important, but because the devs seems to really care about it. Since a few years ago it's become clear to me that it means a lot to them, and is often the highest recognition their work will receive across their career.

I think anyone hating on E33 is missing the point honestly. If like me you weren't happy with this years TGA's cause of the roll E33 played in it, that's not a problem you can reasonably blame E33 for, it's the fault of the show, its format, and how its run. It's insane to hate a game for being good

Difficult cause to me that gets into an area of whether the story's themes can be used to interpret the emotional "working together" at the end, as the power of friendship

For example, Persona games have a big theme of interpersonal bonds, so when they culminate at the end it can come off like that

Then I'd highly recommend Consume me and Wanderstop! You've probably heard of the Wanderstop dev's other game The Stanley Parable in any case. Most of the games nominated in that category every year are very overlooked but still very good and worth checking!

I think it has worth in documenting an adult becoming more and more familiar with games, but as you say it kinda shifts from the original premise of "non gamer plays game" as it goes on.
