3000 ICE is interesting thinking of Minneapolis population and antinsurgency handbooks.

That's about 3 times the force what America had in Germany per 1000 people after WW2. Makes me wonder if this surge is also a trial run of antinsurgency in the US.

Yeah, if a state actor is on you, infosec isn't your worry, it's getting some muscleheads black bagging you. Also all your fancy hardware has been stolen as well with no paper trail to make a complaint.

There is a reason why all activist units break into cells. Compromising one doesn't compromise everything. And using secured coms with no corpo mothership is a benefit not a loss at all times.

Manhattan systems dropped them for a damn good reasons. Way too expensive and they ruined Java.

Larry Ellison can't pull any more dust out of the corpse of Sun Microsystems anymore.

Uncle Sam reverse unos itself into the youth learning the chorus to "The East is Red" just to spite the government

I hope this has 3 things occur.
1: American tiktok falls off hard as folks realize it's all right wing agitprop, strife, and stuff meant to placate
2: smarter Americans start doing VPNs
3: kids start using alternative networks and figure out alternatives to corpo tech. Get cyberpunk.

What few Seattle games there are not like me a mere mortal could afford it. All it's going to do is ratchet up hotel prices and make the trains really full.

Well downtown link to Redmond at least.

Depending on API access they can trawl thousands of web comics and use the traffic from the laundered images to buff up revenue sharing.

It's a commercial enterprise and Musk is enthusiastic about it.

Writers showing how old they are, that beatlemania was the only relevant social movement they can think of. Something that ended 60 years ago. Folks who were target market for it are well over 80.

Break it apart and take the provinces they want. Gross
January 23, 2026 at 6:31 PM
That's some world war 3 budget.

Guess he got the message only way he gets his stupid fleet is to build so many shipyards. Same for his drone and UGV force.

And I fully expect it to break the US like it broke the Soviet Union.

I fully expect them to bring up securing American energy and food security as Kansas dries up and the Southern states becomes arid.

It's all about control and transparent greed now.
January 23, 2026 at 5:56 PM
Makes the Canadian grain belt one of the most best grain belts on earth, and the power that comes from food control.

All of these power plays feel like they are a prelude resource wars and the current powers that be already making plans for when the plains and the Southern states are arid.
January 23, 2026 at 5:48 PM
This Board of Peace I fully expect them to convene, do some nonsense for tacky construction tied to shady real estate comapnies, declare victory, and then give trump the "Prize of Peace" or some nonsense.
January 23, 2026 at 5:27 PM
According to the sale, bytedance still has the euro version. They spun off just the American stuff. But it also means videos that get hot in China and in Europe probably won't get populated

Americans have been quarantined away from the rest of the world. Canadian VPN maybe?

I put my two cents in earlier. Olympia cannot be this stupid. Or know how economically damaging this would be.

This is part of two bills paired together, one for CNC and laser cutters as well.

Most businesses would be ruined if they did this.
January 21, 2026 at 4:58 AM
Ok that makes sense during the era of calvalry charges and when folks would wear their saber to formal events.

On a uniform on the 21st century with a long coat makes him look like a bad DND charachter.
January 20, 2026 at 9:32 PM
What is the point of the belt even? Like to hold an overly heavy gunbelt up and not using a proper suspender system?

Because all it looks like it does is choke you and mess up a coat's lines.

TBF to Star Trek, humans tried to do that with the augments, and it caused WW3 in their timeline. Literally the whole character of Khan is he is what humanity was supposed to become and only defeated because of his arrogance and failing for the old trick of not looking up.
