My thoughts on the Brown University Shooting:

PA, I'm standing up for your freedoms and liberties. No one should tell you what you can and cannot do with your own body. It is past time that our legislature update our laws to give ALL persons within our Commonwealth the right to control their bodies.

In these unprecedented times silence is not an option. I join my colleagues in standing firm against threats of political violence. This is unacceptable from any one person or political party. The checks and balances established in our constitution must be protected.

Breaking Down the Budget: We continue to increase investment into public education, programs to help working families, and continuing to care for our seniors all without raising taxes. Take a look at some of the highlights! 🔍📚📈

We now have a state budget. Today, I voted YES on balanced, bipartisan budget that creates jobs, invests in education, protects seniors, and does not raise taxes. It never should have taken this long. Our schools, communities, and nonprofits suffered with this delay.

I am calling for a full investigation into the error with the voter rolls today that led to Independents, unaffiliated, and third party voters not being listed in the poll books. All polling locations now have the updated poll books. Please read the letter below:

My abortion bill, H.B. 2005, passed out of the House Judiciary Committee on Wednesday. This bill would remove the 24-hour waiting period and additional counseling requirements for abortion care. My bill does NOT eliminate informed consent.

I spoke on the House floor today as my Resolution celebrating Taiwan’s National Day passed with strong bipartisan support.
It’s more important than ever that we maintain the economic, educational, and cultural ties between Pennsylvania and Taiwan.

This week, I voted YES on all 4 common sense gun bills on the House floor. Unfortunately, only one bill (HB 1593) passed the House. I am extremely disappointed that all of the bills did not pass. We need to do more to protect our law enforcement officers and community.

Chester County Health Department is hosting free vaccine clinics to make it easier for residents to protect themselves and others from seasonal illnesses. Available at these clinics will be flu and COVID-19 vaccinations.
