Come along with me on a rescue of a grounded young hawk in Cumberland County today. A bit underfed and dehydrated with some of its tail feathers broken off. Prognosis is good. Taken to Raven Ridge Wildlife for the best care! Tools used: raptor gloves, net, two small coverings, transport crate.

#2 of rescued young Great Horned Owls in the last week.This species marks the start of rehab baby season each year. Both determined to be truly orphaned after fully assessing each situation. Now being fostered by a GHO dad until the time is right to be released into the wild again.
