Migrated here from Post. Coffee, chocolate, taking pictures, walking/hiking, tennis, gardening, puttering about the house & spending time with my 2 pups, are for me but some of life’s simple pleasures. Unless otherwise noted, pictures are my own.

Congrats on another lifer! 🙌🏻
And a beautiful picture to go along with it ✨ I don’t know if I’ve ever seen a Black-billed Magpie before, but we do have the Yellow-billed variety where I live.

Like our friend, Niv, sounds like you’ve got quite the view from where you live ✨
rescuerofcritters.bsky.social
Do you think time of day might have something to do with that?
rescuerofcritters.bsky.social
Amazing that you would have this right in your own backyard 🤩

Not to mention that we love seeing them here. Or those of us who don’t have arachnophobia anyway 🙂

Looking at your jumper pictures again (which I love!) brought me good luck. For whatever the reason, I hardly ever see jumpers where I live. But no sooner had I looked at your jumper pictures then I saw a baby one on my kitchen counter 🥰

It reminds me a little of pictures taken of neural networks with a scanning electron microscope 🕸️
And I like it too, my friend! 🙌🏻

I’m not a classic car aficionado myself, but even I can appreciate this beauty. And the house it was parked in front of too.

Yes! Which is why I refer to my two pups as my “therapy dogs”

Thanks for looking into that, my friend. And enjoy the beautiful weather and your time outside with G. Hope you get some more beautiful pictures today as well ✨

Good morning, my friend! 🔆
And thank you! 🙏🏻
It’s interesting how this waterfall eventually drops into this dark chasm. Although not the same dark chasm that humanity is falling into 🤪

Some opiate of the masses or other.

More like a return to “The Dark Ages” if anything. Thing is, it’s at a time when the human species, our planet, and all of the life on it, can afford it the least.

According to AI, it’s mainly from rainwater. But if there hasn’t been much rain… 🤷🏻‍♂️

Are you & G off for a walk in the woods this morning or perhaps on the beach?

With one of those changes being the changing seasons along with its beautiful Fall foliage - just like in this picture! 🍂✨🍂

Which is interesting because, like you say, there hasn’t been much rainfall, yet some of these waterfalls still have quite a bit of water in them.

From AI:

“The water sources for waterfalls on Vancouver Island primarily come from rainwater, as the region experiences significant rainfall, especially during the winter and early spring months. This abundant precipitation feeds the rivers and streams that create the waterfalls.”

I guess what bugs me the most aside from the fact that there is no edit function is that Bluesky apparently ignores all of the many requests to have one without at the very least responding to these requests. Seems you would want to try to keep your user base happy, no? 🤷🏻‍♂️
