I saw a post saying that ICE is pausing its tip line, so I decided to call myself to verify.

The recorded voicemail said they are not currently accepting immigration status tips.

Good job, friends.

This is my favorite picture of Stonewall.

They knew they were getting arrested just for being LGBTQ+.

Yet... they're still here, standing outside of the boarded up Stonewall Inn, smiling as the world was at a fever pitch of hatred against them.

I think about it a lot in moments like this.

SHARE WIDELY.
KNOW YOUR RIGHTS.

With mass deportations starting today across the country, it is vitally important - for both citizens and non-citizens - to know your rights.

You have the right to remain silent. Assert it. You have the right to a lawyer. Ask for one.

It's going to be teeth-chatteringly cold on Monday, folks. Bundle up and stay warm while you ignore the inauguration.

The GOP has introduced the “dismantling DEI bill.”

Its real name is Jim Crow 2.0.

I pray that every minority and person of color who voted for this shit gets all of its consequences in their face at its highest and worse measure.

The most important thing going forward is that we work to maintain hold of reality because Trump is going to be flipping it upside down on the daily.

They have already proven their power to rewrite recent history.

It's not a difference of political opinions if the opposing side's opinion is that you aren't human or shouldn't exist. That's not how anything works.

I feel like I'm in an alternate reality where 1/3 of people are happy, 1/3 believe this is only for 4 years, and the rest of know we're f*cked for the long term.

My 89-year-old mother was crushed that Trump was elected. She told me she is lucky, because she won't last long enough to see the damage he inflicts on our country and the world.

A week and a half later, and I'm still stunned how many people will step over their friends' and neighbors' figurative dead bodies in the (unrealistic) hopes of saving a few bucks on groceries.
