I’m not a fan of digital signatures on prints. Sign the print with a pencil or a pigment liner. If you hate your signature, sign the back of the print instead.

Something we’re often asked to help with at the shop. The client comes in after a loved one has passed. The loved one was an artist and there’s one artwork that everyone in the family remembers and each family member wants a copy.
It’s always an honour to be part of that.

I like to think about picking a paper to print on in two ways. The first is picking the best paper for a particular image. The second is thinking about a paper that is best suited to a photographer’s overall style. Both have their merits.

Is printing on paper cool? Yesterday, I had a customer come in and I’m not sure if paper is cool enough. He was initially talking about acrylic mounting, prints on metal, and canvas. All things we don’t do. Is paper more traditional? Is it ‘cool’ enough to compete with metal prints?
