About to end a chapter, separating a character from his new friends, when said character grabs me by the face and says, "I'm not leaving until I hug someone."

Walks into the group chat, says "I think I need to kill off a character for this to work", leaves and does not elaborate further.

I'm so glad I have the plot generally outlined now, because it means I can work in some proper foreshadowing. This gets real fun when one character has prophetic dreams and another occasionally shares dreams with a god outside of linear time.

*cackling* finished the draft of chapter 3, so I'm a chapter ahead of ao3. This might be a sustainable pace (knock on wood)

Also wild thing to learn about Adventure of Link--apparently it takes place in basically post-apocalypse Hytopia??? That was not lore I was expecting to find in the Hyrule Encyclopedia. I'm gonna have to seed in some details about the world being awful, but dang if their textiles ain't nice
