Cannot stress packaging enough! Especially if it's a sealed thing like a board game or puzzle. And not just the front of the packaging! The back. The sides. Even the top. Super important. (And please put a barcode on the thing, preferably on the back, away from crucial info 🙏)

My mom told my SiL to dump the meat fat into the sink last night, and about five of us immediately were like "No!!!" Plastic bag in the trash 👍

Sacrilege. My brother's gf who can't eat dairy or gluten brought an amazing pumpkin pie and non-dairy whipped cream last year, and I definitely tried to hide the leftovers from the rest of the house

Apple pie made with the wrong apples is absolutely inedible. But pecan pie is just sugar covered in pecans. I'm not saying it's bad, but there are better ways to eat pecans

Anyway most books you read ARE NOT FACT CHECKED. Publishers will not pay for fact checkers. An author must take it upon themselves and pay out of pocket.

Which is why folks like @annaleen.bsky.social and @swordsjew.bsky.social who have hired me to fact check their books should be celebrated.
