Even though I've been slowly getting her into more anime with careful curation (she'd never watched any before meeting me, she thought it was immature despite being very nerdy in other ways), I've been hesitant to go for FMA despite her asking about it, specifically because of Nina. Hard to watch! 😭

You know it's funny, my ex and also my wife both refused outright to ever watch Jurassic Bark after the first time seeing it, even though they both love Futurama. My wife even enjoys the later season time travel arcs because you get more Seymour context, but she still won't rewatch the OG episode. 😁

It's already happening to some extent, and despite PoiLIEvre trying to defund and shut down the CBC, they're still constantly reporting soft on the oligarchs and against the common interest. It's maddening to watch. And they continue to post on Nazi-run Shitter and won't create an account here!

Exactly. There are so many talented people out there. Some of them don't even know it yet, because they're stuck in some miserable call center fighting to make ends meet. Their lives & potentially the world are worse off for capitalism sucking them dry instead of letting their talent shine through.

Games like Silksong, as well as being awesome, also show us what a world with Universal Basic Income could look like: artists with no worry about where their next meal is coming from being able to put time, care, & passion into making amazing things, instead of slaving away in service of capitalism.

This is a prime example of ancient lawmakers not understanding modern technology. They make these inane laws "to protect children," and not only does that not work, it ends up exposing people to more risk from hackers who actually understand and exploit the tech.

These types of programs have proven very effective in past trials. Some blue cities down south even have permanent services like this. You need more than one tool in your toolbox, not a one size fits none solution! Especially when so many cops view themselves as Dirty Harry fighting bad guys. 😝
