Highly recommend checking out a few Krazy Kat comics sometime, they're kinda weird and surreal.

Definitely recommend watching Wing, which really has the same unhinged spirit of MSG and also features some pretty sweet 90s animation. GQuuuuuuX has a bonkers plot but the characters lack the ideological fervor that older Gundam characters have, which IMO is a key component.

It really is an Experience watching it for the first time. Also the animation, while dated and low budget, is actually incredible in terms of what it does within the limitations that it was working with. The depiction of the newtype powers in at the end of the show are really trippy and cool.
